Summerhouse is a gorgeous sandbox building game where you are given the freedom to build whatever you want in 4 different settings. The building mechanics are simple, yet there is plenty of room for creativity to thrive.
You'll also be accompanied by relaxing music and ambient sounds while building, adding to the immersion of the game. While trying out different block combinations, you may even unlock new blocks with people and animals!
I originally expected to only be able to create European buildings due to the limited blocks but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to create Asian buildings too.
Psst, for my artist friends, I can foresee this game being used as a reference point for drawing buildings too!
I do have some slight gripes with the UI of this game; a lack of a scrollbar makes it tedious to find blocks at times, but it wasn't a personal deal breaker.
Overall, this game was a 10/10 for me. It's simple, charming and immersive and allows for a short getaway from the hustle and bustle of life. I loved it!!
